Our three hives disappeared! Not sure why, but I when I checked on them in mid January, 2020 all three colonies were empty. So I ordered new bees and they arrived on Saturday March 14, 2020. Hopefully we’ll get more honey out of these two colonies this year.
Our new bees are Italian honey bees (Apis Mellifera Ligustica), a sub-species of the Western honey bee. The Italians are the most common among domesticated honey bees.
